Technical SEO
Crawl access for search and AI bots, indexation, Core Web Vitals, rendering and schema.
What we do
Before a page can rank or be quoted in an AI answer, a crawler has to reach it, render it and decide it is worth indexing. Technical SEO is that groundwork. If Googlebot or OAI-SearchBot meets a blocked path, an empty JavaScript shell or a broken canonical, your best content never reaches search results or the answers built from them.
What we work on
- robots.txt rules checked bot by bot, so Googlebot, OAI-SearchBot and PerplexityBot get in, and you decide separately about GPTBot, which collects training data.
- Indexation problems: pages stuck as crawled but not indexed, stray noindex tags and canonicals pointing the wrong way.
- XML sitemaps that list only the pages you want found, and redirect chains cut to a single hop.
- Core Web Vitals on your real templates: heavy hero images, layout shift and slow third-party scripts.
- Rendering checks, so key text and links sit in the HTML a crawler receives, not only after JavaScript runs.
- Schema for your organisation, products, articles and FAQs, validated and matched to what the page actually says.
What you get
A ranked list of technical issues, each with the affected URLs and the fix written out. Once you approve, we ship the fixes to your CMS, your Shopify theme or as a pull request on your code, and the next crawl confirms what changed.

Questions
Technical SEO: common questions
Should we block AI bots in robots.txt?
Only if you have a clear reason. Blocking OAI-SearchBot or PerplexityBot keeps your pages out of ChatGPT search and Perplexity answers, while blocking GPTBot only stops training use. We set out what each rule does and you choose.
Do we need special markup for Google AI Overviews?
No. Google says there is no special markup for AI Overviews or AI Mode, and that normal SEO best practice is what makes a page eligible. Schema still helps search engines read your pages correctly.
Can you work on a JavaScript-heavy site?
Yes. We check what the crawler actually receives and, where key content appears only after scripts run, propose server rendering or pre-rendering for those templates, usually as a pull request your developers can review.
Will our developers need to be involved?
For CMS and Shopify fixes, usually not. Changes to templates or server settings go to your developers as a pull request or a written ticket, and nothing ships without your approval.
