Website migration SEO
Redesigns and domain moves without losing rankings or citations.
What we do
A redesign, platform change or domain move is the quickest way to lose rankings you spent years building. URLs change, redirects get missed, content gets trimmed and search engines have to learn the site again. Since AI answers draw on pages Google already trusts, a careless migration can also take you out of answers that used to cite you.
What we work on
- An inventory of every current URL with its traffic, rankings and links, taken before anything moves.
- A redirect map from each old URL to its closest new match, tested before launch rather than after.
- A staging review of the new site: titles, headings, schema, internal links, robots rules and rendering.
- Checks that the content which earned your rankings and citations survives the redesign.
- Launch-day checks: noindex removed, staging blocked, sitemaps submitted, and Search Console's change of address tool used for domain moves.
- Close monitoring after launch, with broken redirects and missing pages fixed as they appear.
What you get
A migration plan and redirect map before launch, a go-live checklist on the day, and weekly reports afterwards comparing rankings, traffic and AI citations with the old site. You approve each step, so nothing goes live on an assumption.

Questions
Website migration SEO: common questions
When should we bring you in?
Before the new site is built, ideally while URLs and templates are still being planned. Keeping a URL is far easier than redirecting it later.
Will we lose rankings during the migration?
Some movement is normal while search engines recrawl the site, and no one can promise there will be none. A complete redirect map and a clean launch give you the best chance of a quick recovery.
We already migrated and traffic dropped. Can you help?
Yes. We compare your old URLs with the new site, find the pages that lost their redirects or content, and fix the ones that carried the most traffic first.
